37 NSU Research Projects Receive President’s Faculty Research and Development Grant
Faculty Members of the Grant Reviewer Panels for the 13th annual President’s Faculty Research and Development Grants awards.
The 13th annual President’s Faculty Research and Development Grant (PFRDG) and 10th annual Quality of Life awards ceremony and reception were held in the Don Taft University Center on May 23. During the ceremony, Nova Southeastern University President George L. Hanbury II, Ph.D., announced 37 research projects that received PFRDG awards of up to $10,000 each for fiscal year 2013. Hanbury also recognized the dedication and innovation of the 61 faculty members and 54 students who submitted a total of 63 PFRDG proposals. He commended and thanked the faculty members and Broward Community Partners who represented the Quality of Life (QOL) projects submissions, including the Outstanding Community Partner of the Year, Broward Sherriff’s Office. There were four Quality of Life awards given this year in the categories of adults, children and families, autism, elderly services and foster care. A total of 62 investigators, including 12 students, representing nine academic units and 23 community agencies, submitted 12 QOL proposals. Hanbury thanked them for their contributions and dedication to expanding research at NSU and in the community.
