2nd Annual Youth Sport Safety Summit, April 21

NSU’s Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences invites you to attend the 2nd Annual Youth Sport Safety Summit on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 8 AM – 12 PM in the Carl DeSantis Building, room 1053/1054. This workshop is free to all and is aimed at youth sports stakeholders: Parents, Coaches, School Administrators, Guidance Counselors, & Athletic Trainers.

The content of the workshop includes:

Introductions and Welcome
Dustin Gatens, MS, LAT, ATC & Pradeep Vanguri, Ph.D., LAT, ATC

9:00 AM
Current Trends in Youth Sports
Frank Walters, Ph.D., LAT, ATC

10:00 AM
Upper Extremity Injuries in Youth Sports and Early Sport Specialization
Erol Yoldas, MD

11:00 AM
Nutrition in Youth Sports
Mary Ellen Bingham, MS, RD, CSSD
