NSU Hosts 2016 President’s Associates Reception

DRD_0100

NSU Trustee R. Douglas Donn and Alice Donn, Efrem “Skip” and Paula Zimbalist, George L. Hanbury II, Ph.D., NSU president.

A year into his presidency, Abraham S. Fischler, Ed.D., founded the President’s Associates at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) to recognize donors who make annual gifts of $1,000 or more to NSU. Dr. Fischler realized that ongoing success depends upon a strong annual giving campaign. Since then, the threshold for being considered a President’s Associate has remained the same to encourage new donations and annual giving.

This year, donors and NSU representatives gathered for the reception at Grande Oaks Golf Club on May 3. Speakers included Efrem “Skip” Zimbalist, president of Show Management and NSU donor, who founded Active Interest Media (AIM) in 2003 to serve niche enthusiasts markets. NSU President’s 64 member Daniela Kletkin, a first generation college student, and class of 2016 biology major, also spoke at the event. Kletkin is a leader in the Razor’s Edge program and will continue her education at NSU through the Doctor of Optometry program.
