After winning the Sunshine State Conference title for the first time in program history, Nova Southeastern University sent 10 baseball players to play summer baseball in leagues around the country this summer. Below is a recap of each player’s summer.

Michael Hernandez – Harwich Mariners, Cape Cod League

Hernandez received great experience in the famed Cape Cod League, as the only non-Division I player on the team. In 16 games for the Mariners, Hernandez crushed two home runs and drove in six runs, hitting .256 with a .395 slugging percentage over his final 14 games.

Julian Loret de Mola – Thunder Bay Border Cats, Northwoods League

Loret de Mola made seven starts and six relief appearances to help the Border Cats finish fifth overall in the Northwoods League’s North Division. His best game came on June 27, when he threw a complete game shutout in a 3-0 victory over Waterloo to earn the league’s Pitcher of the Night award, allowing just five hits and two walks, while striking out five batters. Loret de Mola finished 4-4 with 28 strikeouts in 49 innings.
