No. 1 Men’s Golf Captures All-SSC Player and Coach of the Year Honors

The Nova Southeastern men’s golf team captured the 2013 All-Sunshine State Conference Player and Coach of the Year awards for the second consecutive season as announced by the conference office, Tuesday, April 24. A total of 12 student-athletes have been named to the All-SSC Men’s Golf Team.

The Sharks’ Benjamin Taylor (Jr., Leatherhead, England) was selected Golfer of the Year for the second consecutive season, while his coach, Ryan Jamison, was tabbed Coach of the Year.

In his junior season, Taylor had a sensational campaign for The Sharks. Registering a 71.10 stroke average, he posted a top-five finish in six of the eight tournaments in which he competed. Among those performances was a pair of individual titles at the CSU-Monterrey Bay Otter Invitational and the Buccaneer Invitational. He also placed or tied for second at the Brickyard Crossing Intercollegiate, Guy Harvey Invitational, and McDonough Cup. A native of Leatherhead, England, Taylor placed third at the St. Edward’s Invitational. He took sixth at the SSC Championship. Complete Release
