Approval from the American Osteopathic Association helps launch several new medical residencies


Nova Southeastern University’s Medical School to Expand its Affiliated Medical Residency Programs

Four of the 16 hospitals in Florida that will receive more residency spots are Broward General Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Miami Children’s Hospital in Miami, and Mt. Sinai Medical Hospital. Those hospitals are where NSU’s medical school, the College of Osteopathic Medicine, has many affiliated residency programs.


NSU Medical School Expands Medical Residencies Throughout South Florida

Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine has expanded medical residency programs throughout South Florida to address the shortage of doctors.

South Florida, like the rest of the nation, is experiencing a shortage of physicians because the number of doctors coming out of medical residency programs has not kept up with the demands of an aging population that requires more health care.
