Five Honorees Receive ‘President’s Excellence in Community Service Award’ at 15th Annual Celebration of Excellence


Nova Southeastern University Partners with the Atlanta Public School System

Faculty and researchers from Nova Southeastern University’s (Miami, Florida) Autism Consortium have been retained by the Atlanta Public School System to support the development of additional classrooms for students with autism. The increase in classrooms will raise to thirty, the number of specialized classes for students with autism. Students will range in age from pre-kindergarten through age 22.


Interdisciplinary Council Forms Walk Now for Autism Team

Join NSU’s ICSA, the Office of Student Disability Services and others as the NSU community teams up to participate in Autism Speaks’ Walk Now for Autism to be held Saturday, April 18.


NSU Opens Unicorn Children’s Foundation Clinic in September

For parents of children suspected of autism spectrum disorder, finding and obtaining an early and accurate diagnosis is a challenge on many different levels – until now.

Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) Interdisciplinary Council for the Study of Autism announces the opening of the Unicorn Children’s Foundation Clinic beginning September 16. The clinic, the first-of-its-kind in Broward County, offers parents a unique interdisciplinary approach to obtaining an assessment and possible diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder in children ages birth to five years old.
