Sales Education Foundation Names Nova Southeastern University ‘Top Sales Program’

FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University’s (Nova) Huizenga Sales Institute has been named one of the Sales Education Foundation’s (SEF) “Top University Sales Programs for 2011.”

Nova’s Huizenga Sales Institute was one of only three schools in Florida meeting SEF’s criteria for preparing students for careers in professional selling. Nova is one of only eight schools nationwide and the only school in Florida providing this opportunity for graduate study in sales. SEF’s ranking of university sales programs has been in place since 2006 and evaluates more than 50 programs across the U.S. each year.

The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship collaborates exclusively with Sandler Training®, the nation’s leading sales training firm, to provide robust sales-centric curriculums and innovative methods of sales training and instruction. Through this collaboration with Sandler, Nova can uniquely provide its students with advanced preparation and experiences they can transfer directly into the workforce.

“The Huizenga Business School aims to provide students with high-quality, practical and real world-based sales education in order to provide more immediate value to employers,” said Huizenga Business School Dean Michael Fields, Ph.D. “To receive this distinction by the Sales Education Foundation speaks volumes as to the quality of our program, faculty and our school’s dedication to help our students understand the selling process.”

The Huizenga Sales Institute offers an M.B.A. in Sales, M.B.A. in Sales Management, as well as certificates in sales and sales management for professionals seeking specialized training. In addition, the Huizenga Business School’s Hudson Center of Entrepreneurship and Executive Education offers practical business education, hands-on learning and expert consulting services to individuals and organizations. These non-degree courses, offered at the Huizenga Sales Institute or on site at their organization, give companies, managers and employees the critical cutting-edge training they need to improve their revenue line.

The mission of the University Sales Education Foundation is to promote the profession of sales and its role as the driving force to the economy. To read the report in its entirety, visit SEF’s website here.
