Weston Businessman’s Historical Map Collection On Display
Local collector Neal Asbury has built an important antiquarian map collection featuring maps from the 15th century onward depicting historical subjects and far flung areas of the world. On Wednesday January 24, 2018, Mr. Asbury will talk on why he became a collector and the importance of the collection in his work and life. The 100 Maps That Changed the World exhibit is on display in The Adolfo & Marisela Cotilla Gallery on the second floor of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library.
In a recent interview with the Sun Sentinel Mr. Asbury said, “These maps bring together who I am. An artist, an entrepreneur, a promoter of understanding cultures from all over the world. They’ve been such an important part of my life.”
