This Past Month’s Highlights of NSU In The News

Nova Southeastern University has been all over the news since we rang in the New Year.  Highlights include the Sun Sentinel’s Jan. 6 front page cover story “NSU Celebrating 50 Years of Innovation” (which also appeared in the Miami Herald the next day),  the Society Scene’s Jan. 22 cover story about Celebration of Excellence, and the Sun Sentinel’s Feb.1 editorial “Nova Southeastern University at 50 Better Than Ever.”  As noted below, NSU stories regarding our research on substance abuse, sharks and the use of Second Life to help amputees appeared in media across the globe.  In fact, during the month of January, NSU stories were circulated to nearly 1.3 billion viewers in the U.S and abroad and your public affairs team placed stories in the media with an estimated advertising value equivalency of $12 million.  A sampling of recent media coverage is listed below — click on underlined media placements to read more.   Please visit NSU News and Events on the main page of the NSU website or visit NSU’s News Center to view additional press releases and stories placed in the media.  Next month’s NSU IN THE NEWS will showcase today’s ground-breaking of the Center for Collaborative Research (CCR).
