More than 290 guests gathered at a reception hosted by Barry and Sharon Florescue. The guests enjoyed champagne, danced and dined the night away to raise funds for the research of cancer. During the event, The Royal Dames of Cancer Research presented a check for $225,000 to The Rumbaugh-Goodwin Institute for Cancer Research at Nova Southeastern University. The Institute’s main goal is to develop newer cancer therapies that can specifically target tumors, with minimal cellular damage and toxicity to the patient.
