Sunrise Commissioner Sheila Alu disputes city attorney, seeks second opinion on election (Sun-Sentinel)

Sunrise Mayor Roger Wishner doesn’t have to resign his old commission seat to run for mayor. And even if he runs for mayor and loses, he can still get his commission seat back.

Now Sunrise Commissioner Sheila Alu is asking for a second opinion from Bruce Rogow, a constitutional law expert who has argued cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. Rogow is a law professor at Nova Southeastern University.
