NSU Researchers Tag, then release, a nurse shark

Researchers from NSU’s Guy Harvey Research Institute and Save Our Seas Shark Research Center are tagging sharks off the coast of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The researchers are working alongside students as part of an effort to increase awareness of the critical role that sharks play inshark-centre-2 maintaining healthy oceans. Understanding the travel patterns of sharks is a key component of helping ensure proper management of the species.
