Shark Tank Investor and Tampa Best Selling Author Provide Tips on being a ‘Key Person of Influence’
TAMPA, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University (NSU) and the Sabal Park Chamber of Commerce will welcome investor Kevin Harrington from the ABC Television Series Shark Tank and best-selling author Topher Morrison at their Key Person of Influence talk on Monday, July 1, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This half day event introduces the ideas and strategies needed to turn talents and experience into a profitable business with a remarkable brand. The event is open to the public and will be held at NSU’s Tampa Educational Center.
“NSU and the Sabal Park Chamber of Commerce are proud to sponsor this presentation for the Tampa community” said Racquel Khuri, director at the Tampa site. “We hope that the discussions will benefit working professionals, business students, and others who desire to be “key people of influence.”
Sabal Park Chamber Ambassador, Robert Graves said, “we of the Chamber are confident this type of quality programming is exactly what our members need at this time and in this economy.” With a decade of experience as a Sales Instructor for Dale Carnegie Training Tampa Bay, Graves continued, “Finding what makes the difference for your business and personal life is a simple matter of the right focus and acquisition of the right skills.”
Kevin Harrington is widely acknowledged as a pioneer and principal architect of the infomercial industry. In 1984, he produced one of the industry’s first 30 minute infomercials. Since then, Harrington has been involved with over 500 product launches that resulted in sales of over $4 billion worldwide with 20 products that reached individual sales of over $100 million. Due to his extensive resume, Harrington was selected as an investor “Shark” on the ABC television series Shark Tank produced by Mark Burnett. The show gives budding entrepreneurs the chance to pitch their products to a panel of acclaimed entrepreneurs in hopes of turning their ideas into a successful business reality.
Topher Morrison is Managing Director of Entrevo USA, a growth accelerator firm based in Tampa, FL. Through his extensive travels over the past 25 years in the US, UK, Australia, and Singapore, Morrison has developed a reputation in the industry as an expert in mass communications. Topher is the author of the best-selling book, “Stop Chasing Perfection and SETTLE FOR EXCELLENCE” which has been hailed as the self-help book for people who are sick of self-help books. In contrast to most professional speakers, Morrison’s shockingly honest and irresistibly down-to-earth approach is surprisingly infectious. He is not afraid to tell it like it is and shatter the myth of achieving overnight success. Instead, Morrison speaks to the entrepreneur who could care less about motivational ‘magic wands’ and are more focused on getting tangible, proven strategies to become a key person of influence in today’s economy.
There is a $10.00 fee to enter the event. For more information or to RSVP call – 813-574-5271 or email SaTampa@nova.edu .
