Secretary Butterworth to Address Homelessness Issues During South Florida Conference at NSU
FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. — There are more than 60,000 men, women and children reported homeless in the state of Florida. Of that number, 21 percent are children. In Broward County, there are more than 5200 men, women and children reported as being homeless. These numbers represent statistics reported by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).

The forum, the first meeting for the year, will provide the public with an opportunity to comment and make suggestions to the Council on homeless needs, issues and suggested programs.
