Recent Whale Shark Study Receiving Media Interest

Study Used Novel Approach to Gathering Data on World's Largest Fish

 

It’s a whale of a story – literally!

Recently research scientists from  Nova Southeastern University‘s (NSU) Guy Harvey Research Institute (GHRI) worked with collaborators from the Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme on a study of whale sharks, the world’s largest fish.
WhaleSharks__2The report, available ONLINEused repeated noninvasive underwater measurements of live sharks over the course of a decade to gather data. The study has received media interest – you can see the media coverage below.
