Our Cell Phones Are Pretty Gross

Various Strains of Bacteria Found on Smartphones

Eeew, gross!

Smart-Phone-RepairThat’s pretty much the sentiment after a recent NBC-6 Miami story that looked at what is growing on our cell phones. And after the experiments featuring faculty and students at NSU’s Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography were completed, you’d be shocked – and grossed out a bit – on what was found.

You can watch the entire NBC-6 story HERE.

HUGE shout-out to Amanda Plasencia at NBC-6 Miami for working with Dr. Robert Smith and his students at NSU’s Halmos College on this story – well done!

Oh, and by the way, be sure to clean your cell phone every once in a while!
