Scott Poland, Ed.D., and Stephanie Guedj, B.A, from NSU’s Office of Suicide and Violence Prevention  urge that installing  programs  to prevent suicide should be an element of bullying prevention. In an opinion editorial in Sun Sentinel and Huffington Post Poland and Guedj state that awareness of the risk factors and warning signs of suicide as it relates to all adolescents, no matter their sexual orientation, should be at the forefront of our nation’s priorities.
