NSU’s School Psychology Doctor of Psychology Program Receives Accreditation
American Psychological Association Recognizes Quality of NSU’s School Psychology Psy.D. Program
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – Just before the New Year, Nova Southeastern University (NSU) received notification that its doctoral program in school psychology (Psy.D.) earned accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association (APA), as accreditation demonstrates that the program meets the standards of quality set forth by the APA.
“To implement the program in 2011, and in four years receive accreditation from APA is tremendous,” said Karen Grosby, Ed.D., Dean of NSU’s College of Psychology. “We’ve worked very hard to position our program as a premiere educational option for students, and this accreditation is an acknowledgement of the quality of this program.”
In addition to the school psychology Psy.D. program, the College’s two APA clinical psychology programs (Ph.D. & Psy.D.), two pre-doctoral internship programs and its continuing education program are all accredited by APA.
