Nova Southeastern University wins Telly Awards
Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Fla. – Dateline Health, Nova Southeastern University’s public service show, won a Bronze Telly Award at the 29th Annual Telly Awards. Dateline Health won in the video/film category.
Telly Awards is a national and international competition and that receives over 14,000 entries annually from all 50 states and many foreign countries, according to its website. The awards honor the top local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the Web, according to its website.
The two Dateline Health programs that won are shows on pet therapy with Humane Society pets and volunteers, and gamma knife neurosurgery innovations. The awards were presented in June. Dateline Health is 30-minute show provides up-to-date health care news, expertise and special guests who discuss a wide range of health issues. It is hosted by Fred Lippman, R.Ph., Ed.D, Chancellor of NSU’s Health Professions Division
Airing on COMCAST and BECON cable channels seven days a week throughout Broward county the show reaches 350,000-1,000,000 viewers in the community.
Dateline Health is produced by HPD and is taped on the main campus at the NSU studio under the production and technical expertise of the Office of Media Technology.
