NSU Students to Showcase Talents at First-Ever “NSU’s Got Talent”
Inaugural Event Rescheduled for Nov. 20-21
FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – Students at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will put their talents on display at the inaugural NSU’s Got Talent competition on Nov. 20-21.
NSU’s Got Talent – the university’s version of the hit NBC television show America’s Got Talent – features students showcasing their talents in the following categories: singer, musician, dancer, magician, acrobat, comedian, or animal act. The students will perform as individuals or as group acts for three judges and will compete for a $1,000 prize for their affiliated student organization.
The contest begins on Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. and the top 12 performers from the first round will compete at the NSU’s Got Talent finale on Friday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. Both nights of the contest will be held on the patio of the Athletics and Student Affairs (ASA) building on NSU’s main campus, 3301 College Ave. in Davie.
In addition to the contest, a toy drive will be held at the finale on Nov. 21 for the Toys in the Sun Run benefiting children at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. New unwrapped toys will be collected.
NSU’s Got Talent was originally slated to be held in October but was postponed to the new dates due to weather.
