NSU Students Make Unique Creations for Annual Race
NSU Students formed teams of six for the Anything that Floats Raft Race, which has been part of homecoming festivities for about 20 years at Nova Southeastern University in Davie. About 24 boats took to Gold Circle Lake.
Lindsey Goldstein, homecoming co-director, said the event helps create a greater sense of community on campus.
“It’s really good to get those students who just head to the parking lot and go home after class,” she said. “That is where the leadership component comes in. Then it’s also fun once you get in it. I mean, when else in my life am I going to put PVC pipes and Gatorade coolers together?”
