NSU Researcher Featured in History Channel Series

Reboot of In Search Of Highlighted Research by NSU's Dr. Tracey Sutton

NSU_Florida_Stacked_University_287_430[1]The History Channel has rebooted the 1970s series In Search Of… and one of its first episodes featured Nova Southeastern University’s Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography.

In homage to the previous series, the new one has Zachary Quinto as its host (he plays the “new” Mr. Spock in the Star Trek movie series, whereas Leonard Nimoy played the role in the original TV series and first set of films.)

The episode was called Monsters of the Deep and featured the research of Dr. Tracey Sutton, an NSU professor and research scientist in the DEEPEND Consortium. Dr. Sutton and his colleagues are studying marine life that lives at great depths – which is where many seagoing legends of monsters of the deep come from.

You can access the episode ONLINE – you’ll need to sign in via your cable provider.
