NSU Professor Featured on CBS Miami’s Facing South Florida
Charles Zelden, Ph.D., a professor of history and political science in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, recently appeared on CBS Miami to discuss Florida’s election recount. Dr. Zelden spoke about the deadline for all 67 counties to report their final numbers in between the race for Senate and Agricultural Commissioner.
Dr. Zelden spoke specifically about Broward and Palm Beach County, and said that improving how the votes are counted will make a lot of the chaotic problems disappear. He mentions how extending the voting period a few extra days would make operations run smoother and how older technology, such as outdated voting machines, play a critical role in efficiently tallying the votes.
