NSU Professor Discusses How to Enjoy Your Holiday Party Without the Guilt of Gaining Weight
Deborah Ann Mulligan, M.D., FAAP, FACEP, director of NSU’s Institute for Child Health Policy and professor of pediatrics for NSU’s Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine, spoke with iHeart Radio about how to enjoy the holidays without feeling guilty for gaining weight.
Dr. Mulligan suggests to not let the few extra pounds get yourself down, however she encourages people to get moving and exercise about 30 minutes a day, four to five days a week. She says that not only will it help control the weight, but it will set a positive mind set. She also suggests to take action and write your weight goals down.
