NSU Law Ranks High on Bar Pass Rate; Graduates Join Florida Bar

Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center had the highest pass rate of all five South Florida law schools on the July 2009 Florida Bar Exam and ranked third overall in the state.

“The faculty, staff, and students of the Law Center proudly salute our new graduates for these excellent results,” said Athornia Steele, dean of the Law Center. “I want to recognize the hard work of these alumni, and the joint effort and support of faculty members, Critical Skills Program instructors, and the family and friends of each graduate. It is truly a collective effort that leads to success.”

For the NSU law graduates that passed the July exam, the Law Center held a swearing-in ceremony and reception on Sept. 22 to honor their achievements. The graduates were sworn in to the Florida Bar by Judges Melanie May, Robert Diaz and Thomas Lynch.

Each new member of the Bar also signed the Oath of Admission.
