NSU Expert Participates in Story on Parenting
Story Appeared on Univision
Maribel Del Rio-Roberts, Psy.D., an Assistant Professor within the Department of Justice and Human Services within NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences recently provided her expertise for a story on parenting for Univision.
The story focused on parents who go to “extreme measures” monitoring their children – some say “spying” on their children. Dr. Del Rio-Roberts was the expert on the panel, discussing how such behavior can adversely affect a parent’s relationship with their child. In addition, she provided strategies to be more effectively involved in a child’s life by opening lines of communication while building trust.
