NSU Adjunct Professor Receives Presidential Appointment to Department of Homeland Security
FT. LAUDERDALE – DAVIE, Fla. – Thomas Cairns, D.B.A., an adjunct professor in the Nova Southeastern University H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, was appointed by President George W. Bush to the position of chief human capital officer at the Department of Homeland Security.
Cairns also earned his Master of Science degree in human resource management and his Doctorate of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
Cairns currently serves as a principal at the Cairns Blaner Group, LLC, a human resources firm. He previously held the position of senior vice president for human resources at NBC Universal.
