NSU’s Newest Residence Halls to Open July 28
Rolling Hills Graduate Apartments offer theme housing, 373 student beds
FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University’s newest residence hall – the Rolling Hills Graduate Apartments – will open to students for the first time on July 28.
The Rolling Hills Graduate Apartments will house 373 beds in two buildings – a seven-story building with 236 beds and a three-story building with 137 beds – and is located one mile west of the main NSU campus in Davie. Originally built as a hotel, the property was recently acquired by NSU and the buildings were renovated into efficiency apartments. Each apartment is fully furnished and features a kitchen, bathroom and living room. NSU’s free shuttle service will be available to residents.
The Rolling Hills Graduate Apartments will be the first graduate residence hall at NSU to offer theme housing, where students with particular academic interests are clustered together on a residence hall floor. Floors are available to students from the following academic programs: law, humanities and social sciences, psychology and the Health Professions Division.
“We’ve seen a real demand from graduate students for more on-campus housing, and we’re happy to be able to provide it with the opening of the Rolling Hills Graduate Apartments,” said Anthony DeSantis, NSU’s director of housing. “Students in Rolling Hills will benefit from the convenient location to campus and being able to live with their classmates on the theme housing floors.”
The Rolling Hills Graduate apartments feature a state-of-the-art security system and wireless Internet access, laundry, cable television, local telephone service and utilities at no additional charge.
With the opening of Rolling Hills and the addition of the 501-bed residence hall The Commons that opened in 2007, NSU can now house nearly 1,500 students on-campus.
