Nova Southeastern University’s Lambda Theta Alpha’s Latin Sorority Hosts Fifth Annual Broward County Out of the Darkness Community Walk
FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – Join the NSU and South Florida community in raising suicide awareness and prevention by participating in the annual Broward County Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Sunday, November 24th on the main campus, 3300 College Ave., Davie. The walk is co-sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Awareness and Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc.
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K starts at 9:00 a.m. The walk will begin and end at Fellows Way, the area between the Carl DeSantis Building and the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center. Participants will also be given and encouraged to wear colored beads in honor of loved ones lost to suicide. All funds will go to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention.
