Nova Southeastern University Tampa to Host Open House

TAMPA, Fla – Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will host an Open House on Feb. 28 at its Tampa Student Educational Center (SEC) on Queen Palm Drive.  The Open House, which is free and open to the public, will provide information about the various health, education, business and psychology programs NSU Tampa offers, as well as host a guest speaker on the topic of “Self-Motivation.”

“In addition to providing attendees with information on the wide selection of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs which NSU offers, we feel that it is important to invite speakers who can educate and motivate prospective students towards achieving their academic goals,” said Racquel Khuri, director of NSU’s  Tampa SEC . “It is truly an honor to have Alphonso T. Fontaine, DHSc, PA-C speak at our Open House.”

Fontaine is a Physician Assistant (PA) certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the State of Florida.  He has practiced in Clearwater, Florida for over 19 years in the field of Spine and Neurosurgery.  Also, he has lectured and conducted workshops on several topics relating to his chosen career field and is currently the supervisor of the other PAs and Surgical Technicians in his practice. Since receiving his Doctorate in Health Science from NSU in August 2004, he has been teaching Anatomy and Physiology at multiple campuses for St. Petersburg College.

Attendees at the Open House can expect admissions counselors to be on hand answering questions on scholarships, grants, the financial aid process, admission requirements, and deadlines.

NSU’s Tampa SEC is located at 3632 Queen Palm Drive, Tampa, Florida. The Open House is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm. For additional information call (813) 574-5200 or e-mail nsu-tampa@nova.edu.  To RSVP go http://www.nova.edu/sec/tampa/index.html
