Nova Southeastern Men’s Golf Places Four on NCAA DII Scholar All-American List

NORMAN, Okla. – Four Nova Southeastern University men’s golfers were honored as 2014 Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholars, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Celia, Farrer, Lengdèn, Facey

Ricardo Celia (Sr., Barranquilla, Colombia), Ian Facey (Jr., Miami), Mitch Farrer (Sr., West Sussex, England) and Oscar Lengdèn (Jr., Helsingborg, Sweden) were recognized among only 75 men’s golfers from all of Division II to receive this honor.

In order to be eligible for DII All-American Scholar status, the student-athlete must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50 percent of his team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 78.0, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipi­ent must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

The quartet brings the total number of 2013-14 NSU Scholar All-Americans to 26. Within the Sunshine State Conference, 16 men’s golfers were honored on Wednesday.
