NSU’s month-long celebration of Black History Month has garnered extensive media coverage, ranging from daily event listings in the Sun-Sentinel, to a featured list in the Miami Herald, New Times, and the Davie/Cooper City Gazette. Additional coverage included:

  • African Presence exhibit featured in Yahoo News’s “Black History Events in Florida’s Largest Cities”
  • African Presence exhibit opening is promoted in Sun-Sentinel’s Local section on Feb. 4 with photos and extended cutline
  • WIOD news segment promoting the African Presence exhibit, airs on Feb. 5
