Mastering the New Business of Health and Healthcare

Healthcare in South Florida is changing given the expansion of Nova Southeastern University (NSU) and its new, innovative programs that the university offers. Both healthcare providers and healthcare systems have common goals, such as improving clinical and health outcomes and optimizing cost and efficiency. However, an aging population, an increasing burden of chronic diseases and government intervention with policies and regulations, make these goals difficult to achieve. The current health system is struggling to produce high-quality, affordable and easy to access care that maintains and returns people to more productive lives.

NSU aims to focus on providing a more coordinated and connected system across the full continuum of care where technology empowers both providers to deliver more efficient care to patients and patients to better manage their own care throughout their health journey.

The H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University has developed an innovative MBA program with a concentration in Complex Health Systems. This program delivers a comprehensive, transdisciplinary, and team-based building degree, exposing students to the full continuum of out health system.

We are developing tomorrow’s healthcare leaders by providing a program that focuses on the new business of health- the intersection of technology, research, and innovation and is poised to prepare tomorrow’s leaders and agents of change who will develop innovative approaches to successfully tackle health and healthcare management challenges of today and tomorrow.
