Just for Kids!

NSU offers classes for children ready to attend school on their own

Ft. Lauderdale-Davie, FL. – Nova Southeastern University’s Mailman Segal Institute (MSI) is offering remarkable programs for families and children to learn, play and grow together.

The popular fall program called Just for Kids! Designed for children 2 1/2 to 5 years of age, begins Sept. 8 and runs through Dec. 14, in two 7-week sessions. Classes will be held at MSI on the university’s main campus in Davie-3301 College Ave.

The programs offer a variety of fun, innovative and educational programs in an environment designed to enrich your child’s experience.

Classes meet once per week for 7 weeks. Most classes are an hour with some exceptions.

Session 1 runs from Sept. 8 to Oct. 26 and Session 2 runs from Oct. 27 to Dec. 14. The cost is $135.00 for each 7-week session. All children are welcomed, and there are programs specifically designed for children with special needs.

The topics cover a variety of areas. A popular choice is the Creative Exploration Sampler. Offered to children ages 3 to 5 years, these classes showcase a sampling of the Just for Kids! Series including: Art Explosion; Art Masterpiece; Around the USA; Around the World; Fun and Fitness and What’s Cooking.

A sampling of the Just for Kids! programs include:

  • Art and Sensory – Ages 2 ½ to 5 years
  • Cooking – Ages 3 to 5 years
  • Boogie to Beethoven – 4 to 5 years
  • Fun and Fitness – Ages 3 to 5 years
  • Reading Rock Stars – Ages 4 to 5 years
  • Karate – Ages 4 to 5 years
  • Cheer, Chant and Pom Pom Dance – Ages 3 to 5 years
