Jerry Greenfield of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream to be Guest Speaker at NSU’s Distinguished Alumni Awards
For Immediate Release
FORT LAUDERDALE/DAVIE, Fla. –Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will recognize and honor the 2017 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Honorees and enjoy a special evening of conversation with guest speaker Jerry Greenfield, co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s Homemade Ice Cream. The event will be held on November 9, from 6-8 p.m. at NSU’s Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center. Following the presentation, guests will enjoy some of Ben & Jerry’s finest flavors while networking with other attendees.
The Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award represents the highest and most prestigious honor that NSU bestows upon its graduates. The program recognizes alumni who have demonstrated impressive success in a particular profession, discipline, organization or community causes.
Bringing his business acumen and passion for creative and responsible business practices to life at the podium, Greenfield’s presentation will deliver an inspiring tribute to America’s entrepreneurial spirit, full of anecdotes and radical business philosophy.
Greenfield and his long-time friend and business partner Ben Cohen are the men behind one of the most talked-about and least conventional success stories in American business. Co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s Homemade, Inc., Greenfield has helped to build a store-front venture into an ice cream and business phenomenon by making social responsibility and creative management strengths, rather than weaknesses.
This event is $5 for the NSU alumni, students, faculty and staff and $10 for the general public.
