iPads Help Autistic Children Communicate
The Mailman Segal Institute for Early Childhood Studies (MSI) launched a new initiative recently, “18 iPads in 18 Days”, to provide new iPads to MSI’s Baudhuin Preschool, a provider of services to children with autism. Autism is a lifelong disability that affects the way children communicate and relate to others and the world around them. The tablets contain communication applications which allow users to select phrases and words to make sentences.
