Gear Up for “A Night at the Races” to Benefit NSU’s University School

Annual main event fundraiser to feature dinner, open bar, silent and live auctions and dueling piano musical entertainment

FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – After this night at the races, everyone will go home a winner. That’s because at University School of Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) “A Night at the Races” fundraiser, everyone will have the chance to make a lasting contribution to our children’s educational future.

“A Night at the Races” is University School’s 18th annual Main Event fundraiser, which will be held on Wednesday, March 18 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Christine Lee’s restaurant.

Christine Lee’s is on the third floor at Gulfstream Park, 901 S. Federal Highway in Hallandale, and features an incredible view of the racetrack.

The evening will feature dinner, an open bar, silent and live auctions, and dueling piano entertainment throughout the night. The dress is evening casual. All of the proceeds from “A Night at the Races” will benefit the University School and its students.

The Main Event gives everyone the chance to meet, greet, eat, laugh, and have a good time for a good cause. Silent and live auction items include:

  • 16 seats in the Bank Atlantic Suite to see Cirque Du Soleil’s Saltimbanco
  • A $2,500 VIP package from Gulfstream Park
  • A Kentucky Derby print of Edgar Prado on Barbaro
  • 6 box seats to the Sony Ericsson Tennis Tournament
  • A VIP Marlins package
  • A VIP Panthers package
  • Additional items ranging from school spirit fun, to coveted school parking spaces, to dinner, travel, and entertainment packages and more.

Dinner will feature something for everyone including tuna, salmon, vegetable and California sushi rolls, tasty salads, egg rolls, spareribs, an assortment of chicken, shrimp, and steak dishes all complemented by vegetables and the famous Christine Lee’s fried rice. There is also a dessert buffet to provide a delicious end to the perfect evening.
