FREE Corporate Governance Seminar to be Held at Nova Southeastern University on Nov. 8

FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – The American College of Bankruptcy (ACB), in cooperation with Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU)  Shepard Broad Law Center and the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship will sponsor a free half day conference, “Corporate Governance in the New Millennium: Approaches & Issues” on November 8, 2010.    The half-day event will include an extensive educational program, as well as a wine and cheese reception immediately afterward.

The conference will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will take place at NSU’s Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center on the school’s main campus at 3100 Ray Ferrero Blvd. Ft .Lauderdale.- Davie.  This program has been approved for 4.0 general CLE credits and 3.0 business litigation certification for Florida..

The conference will cover topics relevant to the future of corporate law and governance, including discussions on solvent and insolvent corporations, and corporate governance principles as applied in the current market.  Speakers to include:

  • The Honorable Kent A. Jordan of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals;
  • Stuart Cohn, Associate Dean of the University of Florida Law School
  • Vince Lazar, a partner at Jenner Block
  • Nicholas Nastasi, a partner at Saul Ewing
  • Jack Williams, professor at Georgia State University Law School and senior managing director of Mesirow Financial Consulting.
