Fishing Tournament to Raise Money for College Students

What: Nova Southeastern University will be hosting the Third Annual NSU Oceanographic Center Scholarship Fishing Tournament. Anglers will be catching billfish and fun fish, such as mahi mahi. Proceeds from one of the biggest tournaments in the Keys will be used for scholarships for NSU oceanography students as well as research at NSU’s Oceanographic Center.

When: Thursday night, Oct. 22 to Saturday, Oct. 24.

Where: Hawks Cay Resort in Duck Key, Florida

More info: The Oceanographic Center’s mission is to carry out innovative, basic, and applied research and to provide high quality graduate and undergraduate education in a broad range of marine science and related disciplines. The Oceanographic Center also serves you as a community resource for information, research, and education on oceanographic and environmental issues.
