Ferchland-Parella Appointed Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Nova Southeastern University
FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – Joanne Ferchland-Parella has been appointed vice president of institutional advancement at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). The announcement was made today by NSU President Ray Ferrero, Jr.
In her role, Ferchland-Parella will develop and execute NSU’s comprehensive fundraising plan, including annual gift programs, major gift solicitations, corporate and business giving, and capital campaigns. She will oversee the university’s development staff and development committee and report directly to President Ferrero.
“Ms. Ferchland-Parella brings a wealth of successful fundraising experience to NSU,” Ferrero said. “Her leadership in development will be instrumental in helping the university reach its strategic goals.”
Ferchland-Parella joins NSU after six years at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith’s School of Business, including serving the past four years as the school’s assistant dean of external relations. Previously, she led the development offices at Bryant University and Gustavus Adolphus College and held development positions at Villanova University, the Polyclinic Medical Center Foundation in Harrisburg, Pa., and Johns Hopkins University.
Ferchland-Parella earned a Master of Business Administration from the Robert H. Smith’s School of Business at the University of Maryland. She also holds a Master of Liberal Arts from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Loyola College in Maryland.
