Educational Research Symposium to be held at Nova Southeastern University
FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. —- Nova Southeastern University’s Health Profession’s Division will be holding its 2nd annual Health Professional Educational Research Symposium this weekend.
The conference, which will run from Jan. 18 to 20, will engage health care faculty from around the country in a discussion about educational research and teaching in the health professions. It will be held at NSU’s Health Professions Divisions (HPD), which consists of six colleges —- osteopathic medicine, optometry, dental medicine, medical sciences, pharmacy and allied health and nursing.
The Educational Research Symposium will provide opportunities for those who teach health professions to:
- Disseminate original research through a peer reviewed process.
- Share innovative program ideas with an interdisciplinary audience.
- Update their knowledge from experts and researchers.
- Participate and learn from educational workshops that enhance skills needed for educational research.
- Network with health professions educators who are interested in educational research and the scholarship of teaching.
The conference will include keynote speakers, research presentations, workshops, poster presentations and informal roundtable discussions.
Nova Southeastern University conducts basic and clinical research in the areas of cancer, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, obesity, wildlife DNA, coronary hearty disease, among others.
