DiveBar Organization Featured in Sun-Sentinel Newspaper

DiveBar-009

FORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, FL – A group of local lawyers, who are also avid scuba divers, was the subject of a feature story in the Sun-Sentinel newspaper.

The DiveBar, as they are known, have partnered with Nova Southeastern University’s Oceanographic Center to help restore the coral reefs off the Fort Lauderdale coast. The group is helping with Staghorn Coral, which are federally protected as a threatened species. The NSU scientists are working with DiveBar members to grow a variety of genetic variants and arrange for them to be distributed widely on the reef to enhance the species’ chances of survival.
