Cynthia Gross, MBA, MAC, CPA Promoted to Controller at Nova Southeastern University
FORT LAUDERDALE – DAVIE, FLA. — Cynthia (Cindy) Gross, MBA, MAC, CPA, has been promoted to Controller at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). The announcement was made today by NSU President and Chief Executive Officer George L. Hanbury II, Ph.D.
In her new role, Gross will provide oversight for NSU’s Accounts Payable, Payroll, Contract and Grant Accounting, Endowment Accounting, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting and Taxation departments. As Controller, she is also responsible for compliance with University accounting policies and procedures, county, state and federal regulations, and ensuring adherence to standards set by the Financial Accountant Standards Board (FASB).
For the past six years Gross served as the University’s Associate Controller. Throughout her 19 years at Nova Southeastern University, she has held positions of increasing responsibilities.
“Cindy’s extensive knowledge of accounting principles, as well as University operations, makes her the ideal Controller for Nova Southeastern University,” Hanbury said, “We are pleased she accepted this new responsibility.”
Gross holds Master of Accounting and MBA degrees from NSU and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She received her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Florida.
