Copycat Threats After Florida School Shooting

According to the New York Daily News, more than 600 copycat school shooting threats have been made across the country, just two weeks after a gunman killed 17 people and wounded over a dozen at a Florida high school last month, data shows.

In recent interviews, Scott Poland Ed.D., professor, NSU’s College of Psychology said that the threats have led to dozens of arrests and attributed the uptick in threats to widespread coverage of the violent shootings.
