FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – The Circle of Friends of the Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center recently hosted their annual State of the University Address with NSU President Ray Ferrero, Jr. as the keynote speaker.
During his address, President Ferrero stressed the importance of NSU’s core missions of academic excellence, research and service to children and talked about the community service and outreach the university provides at the county, state, national and international levels.
President Ferrero also spoke about how proud he is of NSU’s faculty, staff and students at the Jan. 13 address.
“I believe in what we do here at NSU,” he said in his speech. “I believe we are making a difference in the lives of thousands of individuals, children and their families. I can’t think of a more appropriate thing to celebrate as we embark on a new year filled with incalculable potential.”
President Ferrero continued, “I look at 2009 as a time when NSU will continue to uphold its core values, build on academic success, serve the community, and explore new ways to grow in prestige and esteem. In these challenging economic times, NSU remains strong.”
