Scholars, Researchers, and Academics from around the World make TQR 9th Annual Conference one of its Largest Ever.

The Qualitative Report 9th Annual Conference January 11, 2018 – January 13, 2018

NSU

Scholars, researchers, and academics were joined by three prominent keynote speakers to celebrate “The Phenomenology of Qualitative Research” at The Qualitative Research 9th Annual Conference.

The event brought in Jonathan A. Smith, Johnny Saldaña, and Mirka Koro-Ljungberg as its three keynote speakers, who each offer a different unique perspective on Qualitative Research. With three different keynotes, and multiple workshops being offered, these speakers did not disappoint. The conference overall brought in nearly 170 total attendees, including over 90 panel and paper presentations spread across three full days.

At The Qualitative Report Ninth Annual Conference, presenters shared their lived experiences as qualitative researchers: “How are you becoming qualitative researchers, How do you practice your craft, How do you consciously produce the results that you do, and How do manage yourself throughout your work?” are some of the phenomenology-inspired questions that were explored together at the conference. Presenters took us inside their world as a qualitative researcher by describing what you do and how you make sense of that which you do. We heard these reflexive tales in their papers, panels, and workshops.
