NSU Researcher Spearheading Study of Oil Spills in Gulf of Mexico Garners Media Coverage
Research Includes Several Scientists from NSU's Oceanographic Center

FORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – Researchers at Nova Southeastern University’s Oceanographic Center will be heading up a consortium of scientists who will be studying the effects of the Deep Water Horizon oil spill on the Gulf of Mexico ecosystem. The spill, which occurred five years ago, continues to be studied – and this new effort is being spearheaded by Tracey Sutton, Ph.D., and associate professor at NSU’s Oceanographic Center.
