For the second time in school history, the Nova Southeastern women’s basketball team are Sunshine State Conference champions, and as the No. 1 seed, NSU will serve as host of the South Region in the 2013 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship tournament.

The Sharks (20-8) will face No. 8 seed Clark Atlanta (19-10), winners of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, on Friday, March 15, at 6 p.m. at the NSU Arena in the Don Taft University Center. These two teams met up on Nov. 17 in the NSU Classic. The Sharks came away with a 91-62 victory.

In their bid to win the SSC Conference, the Sharks (19-7, 11-5 SSC) shared the conference’s best record with Lynn, who they defeated twice in the season in order to earn the No. 1 seed for the championship.

Come out to the Arena and support the NSU Sharks as they take on Clark Atlanta in the first round of the championship on Friday, March 15. Free admission to everyone wearing NSU gear and presenting their Shark Card.

Go Sharks!!
