This Week in Shark Athletics

It’s time again to get fired up! The Sharks need you on the edge of your seat, screaming and showing your school spirit. It’s high-octane action you don’t want to miss! Get pumped, and take a bite out of Shark Athletics:

Women’s Basketball

The women’s basketball team will host the Third Annual Tip-Off Classic, Nov. 19-20, hosting Northwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday then Truman at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Seniors Abbie Tepe, Priscilla Perez, Stephanie Sarosi, Lauren Marshall and Meloney Fosburgh will look to lead the Sharks in the 2010-11 season.

Men’s Basketball

The men’s basketball team will kick off its conference schedule with a road game against Rollins on Nov. 17. The Sharks will head into the game after warming up against two NAIA teams in Warner and Johnson & Wales. After the Rollins game, the Sharks will return home for a matchup with Puerto-Rico Mayaguez on Nov. 20. It will be their final game before heading into the Thanksgiving break.

Cross Country

The NSU cross country teams will look to keep the season alive as they head up to Huntsville, Alabama on Nov. 20 for the 2010 NCAA South Regional Championships. In their last race, both the women and the men finished in the top three at the Sunshine State Conference Championships. Each team will have to finish in the top two in order to qualify for the NCAA National Championships. In order to do that, they will have to come ahead of powerhouses in Alabama-Huntsville, Florida Southern and Tampa.

Go Sharks!
